Ronald Herman Reimers

Ronald H. Reimers, 79, of Pender, NE died on Saturday, February 27, 2021 surrounded by his family at his home in Pender. Graveside memorial services for Ron will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosehill Cemetery of Pender. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender. A celebration of life for Ron will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Pender Community Center in Pender, Ne. Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Pender is in charge of the arrangements.
Ron was born on October 8, 1941 in West Point, NE, the son of Allen and Evelyn (Benne) Reimers. Following his graduation from West Point High School in 1959, Ron joined the United States Marine Corps. After leaving the service in 1963, he attended plumbing and heating school in Milford, NE. In 1971, Ron and his family moved to Pender where he established Ron’s Plumbing and Heating.
He enjoyed fishing and later in life became a hobby farmer. Ron loved working with his cattle, hogs and chickens and spending time with his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his sons, Tim Reimers and Tom (Brandi) Reimers of Pender, NE; daughters, Teresa (Adam) Sulich of Lockport, IL, Barbra Ballard of Ocoee, FL and Lisa (Bryan) Samson of Mansfield, SD; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brothers, James Reimers of West Point, NE, Richard (Joyce) Reimers of Hickman, NE and brother-in-law Irvin Schlickbernd of Emerson, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Evelyn Reimers; sisters, Donna Schlickbernd, Marilyn (Harold) Schulz; sister-in-law, Carol Reimers and son-in-law Jimmy Ballard.
